Facilitated by an experienced practitioner, Self science is a curriculum that fuses emotional and cognitive learning. Through experiences, discussion and self reflection, that helps build communities based on respect, responsibility and resiliency. Communities where problems are addressed before they escalate The curriculum increases Self awareness, communication, motivation and accountability while reducing isolation and conflict. Six fundamental components- Build empathy and optimism
- Control yourself and delay gratification
- Manage feelings
- Socialize effectively
- Motivate yourself
- Commit to noble goals
- Sixty-two lessons breaks down in two parts which can be taught over 2 years or twice a week for one academic year.
- Forty-five minutes lessons
- Additional individual therapy maybe required for selected students
