Play Therapy Sessions ⠀ Emotivating Minds Play t Play Therapy Sessions

Emotivating Minds Play therapy sessions are student led sessions, facilitated by an experience therapist. Students are given the opportunity to express themselves through art and creative play. A successful therapeutic approach to help those struggling to understand feelings and experiences.

⠀Sessions work well alongside our workshop intervention, supporting students express their emotions in a safe, non judgemental environment.
⠀
The expectation is for students to have better understanding of their⠀their emotional intelligence. A vital skill that will enable improved communication skills, creating a more confident person and learner.
⠀
As a result, reducing negative behaviour and classroom conflict, increasing classroom attainment, creating a safer more productive school environment. To achieve the best outcomes, full attendance is preferred, although not essential for progression to be achieved.

There a four areas of emotional intelligence-

-Self-awareness is understanding of your own thoughts, feelings and behaviour. having an understanding how you are percieved by others.

-Self management is having the ability to manage your own behaviour. being able to regulate your behaviour in different situations.

-Social awareness is understanding the perpective of individuals or groups, and being able apply that understanding when interacting with them.

Relationship Management is key part of emotional intelligence. its using your own emotions and those of other to manage your interactions successfully.
Self and Identity Sessions -Workshop and One-to-on Self and Identity Sessions -Workshop and One-to-one

'Emotivating Me’ workshops and One-to-one sessions focus on Self and Identity for 12 weeks. 

Sessions are designed for participants develop an understanding of their emotions, by evoking their emotions. All workshops are suitably tailed to the needs of specific cohort within the school, considering the local community. 

Each participant will be given the skills to improve their emotional wellbeing. Covering topics such as relationships, communication, coping strategies to engage students in thought provoking concepts of self and identity.

Sessions include. Creative writing, Art, Role-play, discussions, and debates as participants explore various case studies. 

At the end of the 12 sessions, the expectation is for students to have better understanding of their identity whilst improving their emotional intelligence. A vital skill that will enable improved communication skills, creating a more confident person and learner.

As a result, reducing negative behaviour and classroom conflict, increasing classroom attainment, creating a safer more productive school environment. To achieve the best outcomes, full attendance is preferred, although not essential for progression to be achieved.

Half Term Challenge! Half term can be stressful Half Term Challenge! 

Half term can be stressful with the lack of routine for the family. It can be easy to try to do as little as possible and try to relax. 

What happens when the boredom sets in the household? stress levels rise.

Why not CHALLENGE members of your household to improve your well-being? 

Together with members of your household. Set a challenge of a daily workout for at least 15 minutes each day.

If you are struggling with the idea of a 'workout' at home, try going for a brisk walk, just enough to get your heart pumping! 

Regular exercise improves our sense of well-being by producing natural endorphins which can act as a natural pain relief, reduce stress and make you feel good 😬

Completing the challenges together-

- Helps maintain motivation levels 
- Builds a routine 
- Creates a healthy lifestyle 
- Improve focus levels
- Build self-esteem 

ROUTINE SCHEDULE 

WEEK 1 > 15 mins 
WEEK 2 > 20 mins 
WEEK 3>  25 mins

After 6 weeks, if you want the challege, you can build up to 40 mins of exercise a day.
